Hootsuite is a great place to start your social listening, plus it is free (well.. to get the most out of it you may want to pay for the advanced version but it’s not expensive). Hootsuite is great, but also start a spreadsheet or other tracking tool to take notes and keep track of your research. You want to find out what keywords your customers are using on the internet, what problems they have, what content they are interacting with, what platforms are they on, what competitors are doing and any information that is relevant to your business.
