 I know I say it often when talking about social media marketing, and here I go again, no selling your product or service on a blog. For marketers, I know that it is tricky. Consumers go to blogs for information, not to see advertisements. Too much selling can diminish the value of a brand. Instead, offer knowledge while building trust and respect. That’s not to say we do not provide links or offers. The key is providing an abundance of information, so your potential audience clicks through to your business to find more. For all content marketing outlets on social media, stick to an 80/20 Rule. Provide content 80% of the time, sell 20% of the time. Always have these five tips in mind –
 Remember, it takes time to establish good blogging habits. Be willing to use trial and error learning from what is working and not working. As you write, you will get better and better and learn more about what attracts an audience in your industry. You can have fun, learn, and blog all at the same time. I make sure my writing is proofread by having other individuals read my writing. Such as important posts or assignments I do for school. I like to make sure my peers catch my errors that I am unable to detect sometimes. Although I also have a app on my laptop that helps me find those errors. This is an amazing tool and every writer should have it, regardless of how well someone thinks they write. It shows me words I should use instead and punctuation marks that are in the wrong area. It is a lifesaver, it comes with a cost, but if you are willing to write well, it's worth it. Another way I get help for proofreading is peer editing in class. Sometimes we have classmates read our assignments and they give verbal feedback along with marks on the paper to show where a paper can be better.

I always try to post a topic that has right now relevance in the industry. I try to provide my audience with up to the minute information on analytics, and industry trends. I use keywords when doing research of my topics, because I to learn as I go. This is keeping me innovative and growing in my field.

When I'm writing an assignment for a composition class. I will often times have someone read it over for me. It's good to have a second opinion. I also read it over a couple of times. I also you the spell and grammar check if I'm writing on Word. If I had my own blog I would probably do the same. I would ask someone I trust to read my post.

To ensure writing is proofread for myself or others, you can read the piece aloud, check for grammatical errors, make the piece more precise, and overall easy to read. Having someone else read it helps as well as to get another point of view and opinion. Proofreading is more than just checking for grammar/spelling errors, it's ensuring the piece is well-written and conveys the message appropriately and easily to the reader.

For proofreading I definitely re-read it a couple times and at least one of those times out loud. I check for grammatical errors online and If I had a blog I would have my daughter who has her master's in English proofread it for me. 10/18/2019 05:17:53 pm
I not only ask people to proofread my writing, but I also use Grammarly as well to correct any mistakes. Its always necessary to have a second opinion and to make sure its worded correctly. When making a blog, I consider the audience as to who I am posting and what it is I want to accomplish from customers/viewer's reactions. I use other social media links to promote on the blog for more information. What I could do is shorten rather than lengthen the writing itself. I do believe every writer for blogs or in general should use different links or apps, like Grammarly, because it’s a useful tool. It suggests rewording of sentences and well as correcting grammar.

When correcting errors on something I've written I always find it useful to read it slowly sentence by sentence, along with reading it out loud. Additionally, after writing I like to take a break before editing so I can come back to my work with fresh eyes. I find that if I don't take a break, the words start to mush together, and I miss obvious errors. Finally, I agree the most important step if having someone else read over your work. They may tell you a sentence sounds funny that you thought was fine, or notice a grammar error you overlooked.

In comparison to other languages, English is relatively straight forward grammatically. Unlike with Spanish or French, English noun words are not distinguished by gender and verbs are not complicated by varied endings depending on the situation. However, the English language has more words than almost all other languages currently spoken. Depending on the topic of the blog, the language can be quite complex and technical, such as in medical writing. It is important to not only use correct spellings and meanings, but also proper grammar.

To ensure my writing is properly edited, there are a few methods I use that are very beneficial. I will have a family member, friend, or teacher proof read the content to catch any errors. This method is, also, beneficial to get opinions on whether or not my content is substantial and if it has the subject matter it should before I post or submit it. I read it aloud to myself because it is more likely that I will catch any errors. Also, I copy and paste my content into Microsoft word and use the Spelling and Grammar feature that will point out any errors I may have made.

To ensure my writing is proofread I would have someone read it over for me. According to this post you can use Dr. Emrich editing cheat sheet. You also have so many other options, you have things like Grammarly to assist with correcting grammar and spelling.
