Most of the concepts that are suggested towards businesses are easily transferrable to a personal online presence for social media. First you recognize that everyone is on social media on some platform or another. Then you begin to create your own social media presence in response. Once it is established we now begin to build a bio (establish our brand) and let people know who we are and what we are there for. Then we begin to build relationships with those surrounding us in the various social media platforms and a sense of loyalty and trust is established via feedback. Feedback helps to establish and foster those relationships to an even further sense of friendship. When something goes wrong in your life, you now have people that will now stand up for you and motivate you to keep going and doing things, very similar to having an advocate in the business world.

Don't forget about social listening and research. This will help you build better relationships by knowing what your potential customers are talking about. With social media listening we can become aware of our customers need much quicker.

The concepts for business in chapter one can easily be applied to your own personal presence. First and most important you need to build your presence in social networks. Building a Bio that makes a statement of who you are is important in all aspects. As you enter different media's your statement may need to include a little more information about yourself, as a business may add different information on certain websites about themselves. Establishing "friends" or advocate in the business world will help with you social experience. Sharing information about you and others responding with comments, Likes or retweet shows that you are communicating with your friends similar to the business social media sites. Just like in business, you can start to see who is listening a develop your own social market. Social media has exploded in the last few years, and I do not see it going away. Everyone should experience it and embrace it.

Social media is primarily a place to build relationships. How we present ourselves, if the content we produce is appropriate for the platform, and more are all factors in curating relationships via various platforms. When we see social media as primarily relational is helps us to curate the type of content we want others to engage in. Memes are a great example of this, it's a shared way of making social commentary. When things happen, memes are shared around the internet to mare responses to the event, causing relationships to form from commonalities. In this way social media can be extremely powerful.

After reviewing Chapter one its quiet simple to apply business concepts into a personal presences on social media. Its important to first establish yourself, building a brand just as well as one would with their business. Let your followers and/or friends know what your goals are and how your going to work towards them. Build a relationship with the audience so that they feel involved. Also make sure to have like minded people that will help build connections on your social media. Interacting with followers on social media is a great way to build loyalty.

After reading chapter 1 I realized that social media and networking is a very important part of your business. It should not just be an end factor but integrated from the begining. I didnt quite realize how important it is and if you are not utilizing social media your competitors will be and will be taking potential business from you.

As an avid user of many social media platforms, I have a keen understanding of how each platform differs with regards to users and intention. It has allowed me to connect with friends from childhood and stay connected with family members. As a member of professional or community organizations, it has provided me the opportunity to building deeper relationships with individuals in a shorter period of time.

I believe in the concepts of feedback and relationships and using integration on my own personal social media to improve an business. I would apply feedback on any new product I would release by understanding what the customers wants and needs are It would help me keep improving my business. The relationship part would create a culture of my business to everyone that either likes or believes in the product. This is basically free advertisement and helps others with any questions, so this will help others feel comfortable with my product. Finally, using integration with my social media will continue to grow base on building clientele and using others input of what product they would want for themselves or others.

I think that the concepts of creating a business and social media page are very comparable. First you put a name and picture to familiarize your followers/customers with your identity. Then you fill the pages with pictures and information about yourself/business. Then people follow you and learn about you based on how much work you have done and how appealing things look. It is all really very simple in my opinion and takes a minimal amount of time to learn, but gives major benefits.

We can apply things like gaining advocacy to ourselves with our online presence. By having a positive online presence on social media we could further a company or our brand because we would already have loyalty from our facebook friends, as well as our twitter, instagram, and snapchat followers etc. You can gain feedback from your friends, relatives, co-workers, and followers for advice on where to go to eat, starting a new DIY project or what home remedies to use for your every day problems.

After understanding the introductory of chapter 1, It is my belief that we represent ourselves as a business for Social Media. Considering that social media networks can track our followers and popularity in them to make profits through advertising / commercials. Also, our profile picture and description can be considered as our brand and product. Our followers and likes may represent your customers who like your product and what you offer. So, if a follower/friend shares our posts, means they are loyal customers recommending our business. As the video suggests, being consistent with our content/product is crucial to help us build trust and good relationship with our customers, friends and followers.

When you operate/own a business it is you. No matter what business it is or how they started or where they are today it all started with a person in an idea or people and their collection of ideas. Today in this world we are a social media culture. Anything anybody does it involves social media for the mass. Now touch on your bio for your business is the only way you can get your business to stand out in the way you want it to be seen. So adding it slowly so you can see exactly the type of demographic you're going for is a very wise choice. But make sure it's clear in the beginning exactly what kind of company you have and what your company is trying to achieve. Social media is the fastest and affordable way to get that message out there. Just make sure the message is quality for the quantity
