I have learned how important timing is and the importance of more information is not always a good thing.
Timing is sometimes more important than the actual content itself. Aligning the timing of a post or ad placement to coincide with routines or typical aspects of daily life is a great way to attract the most possible attention in the most time and price efficient way is the key.
More information and convolute the most important information. Using capitalizations may work in one format to be eye catching but not in others, same with emojis. Less is often better than more when it comes to the information daring customers in from places which are as fast paced as social media is.
i have learned a more in-dept understanding of how you can be successful when choosing to market online , not just on social media platforms. What do i mean right, with google ads for example, you are able to not only set up campaigns and goals for what you are trying to achieve but can be provided with ways to enhance your goals.
Keywords is a big factor on if you are going to make money or lose money trying to reach your marketing goal. Understanding your audience can really change how you market and how much you need to invest. Having a Goal clearly outlined can make all the difference of products and or services
For me the first advice that I would give is to dedicate time to learn how social media works. I personally had the wrong idea about social media and exactly what it can do. So if I was starting a business, I would need to gather as much information as possible, learn about analytics and how it could help me market the business.
Track and measure everything by having clear goals of what you are trying to accomplish and who you are trying to reach.
Something that I've learned from this class is that social media for a business can be everything it needs to succeed. But it can also break a business. Something else that Ive learned is social media takes times to learn. To succeed at advertising on social media it takes a lot of time to learn how social media works. Social media is like a science and you have to do your work to succeed at it.
I think that personalizing advertising can result in winning more customers. Through social media analytics, businesses can gather actual numbers on what is working and what is not. Using social media analytics can also be used in a way that is spying on your competition and learn from their mistakes.
Setting organizational goals and monitoring the relative metrics can help an organization refine their social marketing campaign. Organizations must create content that is visual, relevant, adds value, and provides a call to action. Having a good social media marketing plan starts with finding out all you can about your target audience and looking at what social media platforms they are using and how they are using them.
Using social media effectively is an important factor for a business's overall marketing plan.
The first piece of advice I would give is to use social media listening tools to determine your customer basis. If you can find out the interests and demographics of your customers, you can cater your posts accordingly. This can also strengthen your use of value proposition to show customers why they should choose to invest in your brand. Businesses can thus create more mindful, thoughtful posts. I highly recommend the site SimilarWeb for social media listening/analyzing.
The second piece of advice I would give is to set attainable, quantifiable goals. It's not enough to say you want your following to grow. How can it grow? What does that mean for the business? If you want to gain followers, you would want to set a goal to gain 10 new followers per week. It is possible to set goals too high which can discourage future efforts. This is where social media listening and creating thoughtful content come into play. Businesses should analyze their history of brand interactions, determine which social media marketing aspects have been most successful, and create goals around them.
I have learned the basics I need to know where to start with my new responsibility at work of running our Facebook page. I have a better understanding of how to use and react to the analysis reports we receive each month. I have discovered that the fact the previous manager created the page his not posting but every few months he was not showing up in any feeds anymore. I have now realized if I want to drive engagement I need to make sure I am posting on a regular basis. I have also learned to truly sit back and examine what I want form this page. Do I want more followers ? More likes? I most definitely have decided I want to utilize special offers and use it to connect more with the community that is surrounding my business.
I also found the information on geographics very informative and believe it will be very helping in reaching out to the community in growing our brand.
I plan to do additional reading on social media marketing as this is an area that interests me greatly both for work and in helping a few charities I help with.
I have learned so much form taking this class, but there are two things that I will certainly utilize more than others those are social media listening and content marketing.
I needed to know to attract customers to my ads on Facebook. I was not using language that would answer a problem. My focus was the brand and, using language that informed the reader of what the can do and not what the product can do for you.
For the above to happen I needed to hear what the customer needs were and not what I wanted your need to be. Here is listening through comments on platforms like Twitter comes in handy. Tailor content to the people speaking to solve a problem.
Would advise marketers to listen more to come up with content that would cause engagement to lead to sales. The content should answer question from the consumer to cause a call to action.
Secondly, to monitor how the content is working use a form of analytic. I did not how to use this tool until this class, This tool will tell what is working to attract customers and what is not.
I learned just how important being active on social media is for a business. I always knew it could benefit a business, but now I understand that today it is basically necessary to be successful. If one is interested in starting a small business on their own, starting with social media is so important to reach an audience. I was unaware just how much information you could measure within social media sites and with the help of other tools and websites. I always knew social media for a business was important, but I never realized just how important the numbers on your social media was. It is really helpful to measure the success of your business and also to engage with the audience you are trying to reach.
